How can I be better?

Life is beautiful and it’s really hard sometimes.

But what I know is that in times of hardship or crisis or challenge, I must stay devoted to SEEING the good and focusing on what’s right in the world, rather than what’s wrong with it.

What we focus on expands, so if we only focus on the mess – we see more of the mess.  But if we can focus on what’s good, we will see more of the good.  This isn’t simply about looking the other way.  It’s about consciously choosing how we see the world – and it’s a choice.

Rather than focusing on the sadness, the loss, the “why me?” – lean into feeling the pain, the fear, the collective hurting and then choose to look for the good, look for the lessons, and understand that ALL of Life (even the pain) is here to teach us all how to do something better, for ourselves and others.

“Life moves on, whether we act as cowards or heroes. Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly. Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such”

Henry Miller

This man had it all – courage and vulnerability,

mastery and soul,

brilliance and humility.

A rare, exquisite combination.

To live into better.

Imagine you lived each day anchored in peace and joy?

Who would you be if you were always grounded in your personal truth, no matter what

challenges you were facing?

What if you never said “yes” when you mean “no,” stifled your truth to avoid rocking the boat,

or stifling yourself to please others?

How would it transform your work, your relationships,

and every other part of your life, if you lived your truth in every moment?

I asked myself a simple question every morning:

“How can I be a better person?”

Which led me to this question:

“How can I live a better life?”

I then added one better- ment to action every day and here’s what I have been

implementing every day, just one action a day and I feel better and better… hopefully it can help you today.

Please add to this living document and lets send it around the world and back –

Here are my 55 ways to better – ment.

For you, for other people, for animals and the Earth.

And when you re ready for some one on one support, you know where I am.
